National Widget Company to rehire
laid-off employees
VICTORIA - Our National Widget Company is rehiring all employees
laid off during an economic down-turn last year. NWC is proud to be able to
rehire 200 employees nation-wide, due to all of our hard work securing a trade
agreement with China.
“The increase in sales has been unprecedented. We think this
opportunity opens up enormous markets which will last for years,” says company
president Andrew Bryce. “The opening up of the Chinese residential market
represents opportunity and a secure market on which to expand our capacity.”
In Victoria, 50 employees are being rehired to both head office and
the main plant. All employees will be called in as needed, with the plant
operating at full capacity within 6 weeks.
This expansion to China will allow us to allow our locally owned
and operated National Widget Company to thrive in years to come.
